Admission Counselling Process: B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) Degree Programme

    1. GENERAL INFORMATION
      1. The counselling for admission to B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) will be held online only.
      2. Based on CLAT- 2024 rank, a merit list will be prepared and uploaded on the university’s website.
      3. The Academic Session 2024-25 will start from the temporary campus of the University at Gaddopur, Phaphamau, Prayagraj-211013.
    2. ONLINE COUNSELLING REGISTRATION
      1. Candidates will be invited category-wise for online counselling registration. (Details of the seats are given at the end of this information, please see Annexure -I)
      2. Eligible candidates will be informed through an email on their registered email-ids about the invitation for the online counselling registration.
      3. The University will not take any responsibility for undelivered emails.
      4. Candidates will be required to upload the following self-attested documents in serial order (in PDF format in one file) while registering for Online Counselling:
        1. Class X Certificate in the name of the candidate, indicating date of birth and parents’ names. The name of the candidate must match with the CLAT- 2024 Admit Card and Result.
        2. Class XII Mark-sheet in the name of the candidate. (Appearing candidates must upload their admit cards of the XIIth Examination, 2024, if available.)
        3. Recent passport-size colour photo
        4. CLAT-2024 Admit Card.
        5. CLAT-2024 Score Card.
        6. SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/PwBD/FF/DP certificate (if applicable) issued by the competent issuing authority of Uttar Pradesh.
        7. KM certificate issued by the competent issuing authority.
        8. Any one of the following identity cards:
          1. AADHAR Card
          2. Passport
          3. Voter ID
          4. Driver’s licence, or
          5. Ration Card
          Note
          1. OBC-NCL/EWS Certificate from the competent issuing authority of Uttar Pradesh must be issued after March 31. 2023.
          2. Candidates shall be responsible for the quality and authenticity of the certificates they upload. Candidates must take utmost care to ensure that the uploaded documents/certificates are authentic and accurate.
          3. Candidates will be responsible for producing the hard copies of documents/ certificates as sought by the university at the time of confirmation of admission. All certificates/documents will be returned to the candidate by the University upon completion of their physical verification.
      5. After verification of the above documents, the eligible candidates will receive an email to proceed further with the payment of the Counselling Registration Fee.
      6. The Counselling Registration Fee is Rs. 20,000/-.
      7. The Candidates are required to submit the Counselling Registration Fee by the given deadline. Any payment requests made after the deadline will not be entertained under any circumstances.
      8. The above-mentioned Counselling Registration Fee shall be paid through the same login details through which the candidates have registered themselves for online application.
      9. Only digital payment methods such as Credit/Debit Card, Net-banking, UPI, etc. are permitted; candidates are encouraged to make payments well in time to prevent payment complications. Requests for late payments due to transaction failures or any other issues will not be entertained.
    3. PROVISIONAL MERIT LIST OF SELECTED CANDIDATES (CATEGORY WISE)
      1. The University will issue a category-wise provisional merit list only for candidates who have completed online counselling registration and paid the required Counselling Registration Fee within the stipulated time. Mere registration does not guarantee a seat.
      2. Candidates who have been provisionally selected need to submit a Confirmation Fee of Rs. 30,000/- for their provisional admission within the given timeframe.
      3. The above-mentioned Provisional Admission Confirmation Fee shall be paid through the same login details through which the candidates have registered themselves for online application.
      4. Only digital payment methods such as Credit/Debit Card, Net-banking, UPI, etc. are permitted; candidates are encouraged to make payments well in time to prevent payment complications. Requests for late payments due to transaction failures or any other issues will not be entertained.
      5. Failure to submit the Provisional Admission Confirmation Fee by the specified timeline will lead to the automatic cancellation of the provisional admission offer, with the forfeiture of the Counselling Registration Fee paid. There won’t be any consideration for extension requests.
      6. No application or request for the fee payment will be entertained after the passing of the deadline. Candidates are advised to pay their fees well before the last day to avoid any payment-related issues. Requests due to transaction failures or other issues after the deadline will not be considered.
    4. PROVISIONAL ADMISSION OFFER
      1. After obtaining the Provisional Admission Confirmation Fee, the University will issue Provisional Admission Offer Letters and Undertaking Forms to the eligible candidates through their registered e-mail ids.
      2. The candidates must upload the signed Provisional Admission Offer Letters and the Undertaking Form to the Google form provided with the email by the University.
      3. Provisionally admitted candidates will be required to pay the balance fee by May 15, 2024.
      4. Not complying with the payment of the balance fee will lead to the automatic cancellation of the provisional admission offer, with the forfeiture of the Counselling Registration fee and Provisional Admission Confirmation Fee paid. There won’t be any consideration for extension requests.
      5. In case any vacancy arises due to non-payment of the balance fee by the provisionally selected candidates within the stipulated time period, the seat shall be filled up by the candidates of the concerned categories in order of merit.

      Important Note:

      If for any reason the candidates invited for a specified round of counselling are not able to upload the requisite documents/pay the counselling registration fee/pay the provisional admission confirmation fee, they will not be invited for the next round of counselling and they will lose their chances for the admission in this University.

    5. HOSTEL ACCOMMODATION
      1. The University will provide for boys -single/double seated rooms; and for girls -single/double/triple seated rooms.
      2. The priority will be given to those students who are outside of Prayagraj Division and according to the distance of hometown from the University.
      3. Allotment of the hostel cannot be claimed as a matter of right.
      4. The University will notify the schedule for allotment of the hostel in due course. The hostel fee shall be paid at the time of allotment of the hostel only.

    February 2, 2024, (09:00 am) to February 3, 2024 (9:00 pm) The University will invite category-wise candidates for the second round of online counselling registration, if required. Online Counselling Registration fees is Rs. 20,000/-
    February 4, 2024 (9:00 am) Declaration of Second List of Provisionally Selected Candidates
    February 4, 2024 (9:00 am) to February 6, 2024 (9:00 pm) Deposit of Provisional Admission Confirmation Fee of Rs.30,000/- by the Provisionally Selected Candidates of Second Merit List. The balance fee shall be paid latest by May 15, 2024. The detailed fee structure is attached at Annexure-II.
    February 7, 2024 (9:00 am) to February 8, 2024 (9:00 pm) The University will invite category-wise candidates for the third round of online counselling registration, if required. Online Counselling Registration fees is Rs. 20,000/-
    February 9, 2024 (9:00 am) Declaration of Third List of Provisionally Selected Candidates
    February 9, 2024 (9:00 am) to February 11, 2024 (9:00 pm) Deposit of Provisional Admission Confirmation Fee of Rs.30,000/- by the Provisionally Selected Candidates of Third Merit List. The balance fee shall be paid latest by May 15, 2024. The detailed fee structure is attached at Annexure-II.
    May 16, 2024 (9:00 am) to May 17, 2024 (9:00 pm) The University will invite category-wise candidates for the fourth round of online counselling registration, if required. Online Counselling Registration fees is Rs. 20,000/-
    May 18, 2024 (9:00 am) Declaration of Fourth List of Provisionally Selected Candidates
    May 18, 2024 (9:00 am) to May 20, 2024 (9:00 pm) Deposit of Provisional Admission Confirmation Fee of Rs.30,000/- by the Provisionally Selected Candidates of Fourth Merit List. The balance fee shall be paid latest by May 30, 2024. The detailed fee structure is attached at Annexure-II.
    May 21, 2024 (9:00 am) to May 22, 2024 (9:00 pm) The University will invite category-wise candidates for the fifth and final round of online counselling registration, if required. Online Counselling Registration fees is Rs. 20,000/-
    May 23, 2024 (9:00 am) Declaration of Fifth and Final List of Provisionally Selected Candidates
    May 23, 2024 (9:00 am) to May 25, 2024 (9:00 pm) Deposit of Provisional Admission Confirmation Fee of Rs.30,000/- by the Provisionally Selected Candidates of Fifth Merit List. The balance fee shall be paid latest by May 30, 2024. The detailed fee structure is attached at Annexure-II.

    Note:

    1. The Spot admissions may be notified in June 2024, if required, depending on the availability of vacant seats. The candidates are advised to browse the university website on a regular basis.
    2. The Provisional Admission Confirmation Fee of Rs.30,000/-and Counselling Registration Fee of Rs.20,000/- will be adjusted against the total fee payable.

    Note:
    1. There shall be an annual increase of 5% of the tuition fee and an annual increase of 5% of the hostel room rent charges.
