r Rajendra Prasad National Law University (RPNLU), Prayagraj, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of Pretoria, South Africa, through its Faculty of Law.
The agreement, signed virtually by RPNLU Vice-Chancellor Senior Prof (Dr) Usha Tandon and Prof Elsabe Schoeman, Dean, Faculty of Law, University of Pretoria, aims to foster research, academic exchange, and cross-cultural understanding. Present during the event were Prof Zozo Dyani-Mhango, Chair, Internationalisation and Centre for Environmental Justice in Africa; RPNLU Registrar Satya Prakash; and other faculty members from both institutions.
The MoU outlines cooperation through faculty and student exchange programmes, joint research, and academic events such as seminars and conferences. The partnership encourages comparative legal studies and global engagement for both students and scholars.
Research scholarships and training opportunities will also be offered, promoting academic rigour and international exposure.
This partnership further strengthens RPNLU’s global outreach. The university has also signed MoUs with NLU Delhi, NLU Mumbai, NLU Goa, and the Institute of Constitutional and Parliamentary Studies (ICPS).
