Hon’ble Mr. Justice Satya Poot Mehrotra, born on October 17, 1951, is a distinguished Indian legal professional with a career spanning several decades. He completed his Bachelor of Science in 1970 and Master of Science in 1972 from the University of Allahabad. Demonstrating exceptional academic prowess, he earned his Bachelor of Laws in 1975, receiving four Gold Medals, and his Master of Laws in 1977, also awarded a Gold Medal, from the same university.
Enrolled as an advocate on February 1, 1976, Justice Mehrotra practiced in the Allahabad High Court and its subordinate courts and tribunals, specializing in civil, constitutional, company, taxation, labor, service, and criminal matters. He co-authored “The Urban Land (Ceiling and Regulation) Act, 1976 – A Commentary” and taught law classes at Allahabad Degree College, affiliated with the University of Allahabad.
Elevated as a permanent judge of the Allahabad High Court on February 14, 2002, he served until his retirement on October 16, 2013. He currently practices as a Senior Advocate at the Supreme Court of India, bringing his extensive judicial experience to his practice.
